The following speakers will give their lectures in English:
- Stephen Walsh - Board member of The Vegan Society (UK). Engineer specialized in data analysis, with wide knowledge in nutrition and health, is the Coordinator of the Scientific Area of the International Vegetarian Unión (IVU), and he is also the Secretary of IVU since 2004. He has produced numerous reports, articles and the acclaimed book "Plant-Based Nutrition and Health".
- Vesanto Melina - Registered Dietitian, did her under graduate and graduate work at the University of Toronto and the University of London, England. She has taught nutrition at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and at Seattle’s Bastyr University. She is co-author of the 2003 Position of the American Dietetic Association and Dietitians of Canada: Vegetarian Diets. She was a coordinator for the Vegetarian Nutrition section (Chapter 10) of the American Dietetics Association's Manual of Clinical Dietetics and co-author of the classic nutrition books “The New Becoming Vegetarian”, “Becoming Vegan”, “Raising Vegetarian Children”, “Healthy Eating for Life to Prevent and Treat Cancer”, and the “Food Allergy Survival Guide”. Vesanto is widely known in the media - press, TV and radio. She is an internationally known speaker and has presented workshops on the topic of vegetarian nutrition to over 2200 dietitians throughout North America. Vesanto received the prestigious Clintec award for leadership in dietetics.
